Charlottesville House Party

by (anonymous) — last modified May 23, 2007 06:18 AM

We have an extraordinary opportunity to create meaningful positive change during the next few months. Let's call on Congress to reduce misguided agricultural subsidies and redirect the money to the programs that need it most: conservation, nutrition, rural development, and the research and development of renewable sources of energy. Let's put our tax money to work for farmers, families, and our future. We'll watch and discuss a video about the Farm Bill, and there will be an opportunity to write a letter to a legislator to tell them why you think the Farm Bill needs reform. There will be snacks and time to chat -- it is sure to be informative and fun! 1404 East Market is a two story, green/gray house one block east of Meade, in Woolen Mills. Parking is available along Leake Lane. It's easiest to come through the back fence, past the woodpile.
